And best of all, Gentle Yoga is easy enough for beginners, so you can remain motivated to keep up your practice - day in and day out!

Never done Yoga?

Most yoga stretches are easy to learn once you give it a try. Gentle Yoga takes the movements slower and don't hold the poses as long as other types of yoga, so you can follow along easier and feel confident in your practice. YogaJP created the Gentle Yoga Basics DVD in a short segment format so that you can learn gentle yoga movements more easily and at the pace you desire. Each segment steps you through stretching movements for a particular part of your body with detailed descriptions of each pose and its benefits for your body.

Mary

Mary Cavanaugh, co-founder of YogaJP, has been teaching and practicing Gentle Yoga for over 40 years. She is a walking, talking testament to how yoga can serve you well - both physically and mentally - for years and years. Mary's yoga teaching specializes in adapting classical yoga poses to people who have physical challenges, or those who just haven't exercised in awhile. Her breath of experience in this area brings you the benefits of gentle yoga to your own bedroom or living room.

Based on Mary's successful Cable-TV Yoga Program, YogaJP created two DVD sets entitled " Gentle Yoga for Seniors" and "Gentle Yoga for Everyone" especially created for people just starting out with Yoga.
